Selling Fee
The primary fee charged by the platform is the selling fee, which is a flat 10% of the total sale price, including the item price and any shipping costs. This is automatically deducted from the seller’s earnings when a sale is completed through the platform.
Payment Processing Fees
In addition to the selling fee, sellers also need to account for payment processing fees. If the transaction is processed through Depop Payments, there is an additional 2.9% + £/€0.30 per sale. Alternatively, if the seller uses PayPal, the standard PayPal transaction fee of approximately 2.9% + $0.30 will apply.
Boost Fee
You’ll be charged an 8% boosting fee on your total sale price if your item sells as a result of a buyer viewing, clicking or liking your listing via a boosted tile in the search results and then purchasing your item within a 28-day period.
Shipping Label Fees
If the seller chooses to use Depop’s shipping service, they will also be charged the cost of the Depop shipping label, which is in addition to the 10% selling fee.
Calculating the Final Payout
To illustrate how these fees impact a seller’s earnings, let’s consider an example. If a seller lists an item for $50 with $5 shipping, the total sale price would be $55. Depop’s 10% selling fee on this $55 total would be $5.50, leaving the seller with a final payout of $49.50. Additionally, the payment processing fee (either Depop Payments or PayPal) would be deducted from this amount.
Avoiding Fees
Complete transactions outside of the platform to avoid the platform’s fees is not sugguested. But If you trust them, You can do what you want.
How much does it takes is according what you services as it like did you use the label or boot service.
In UK, Depop make a anoucement as “No more selling fees We’ve permanently removed our selling fees* – from everything. So you can make even more money on Depop. /all *Payment processing fees still apply. Valid on new listings from 20 March.”
